Introduction

Mikaela headshot.png

I am truly passionate about design. I’d be doing it at home for fun if it wasn’t my profession.

I create initiatives and solutions to drive company growth and profitability. I am a creative thinker, passionate about developing media campaigns that don’t just deliver successful results, but represent experiences enjoyed by clients and their consumers.

Responsive Design

Each of these responsive websites was created to the specifications of the client’s marketing style and color preferences.

I once offered to build a pro bono site for a non profit group and the representative from the organization asked what my design aesthetic is. I told her I don’t have one, because although I like modern, clean builds with mostly white space, my “aesthetic” is adaptable to whoever my client is at the time. I try to build through their eyes, not my own. A preschool should have a different feel than a hospital.

Once the client design requests were accommodated, these sites were then updated with proven “best practices” UX / UI standards, currently used in the Marketing industry. These practices are structured to drive clicks, calls, submission form fills and retention on the sites. Event tracking was used with email builds, and Google Analytics were used for landing pages.

Colleagues

“I was Mikaela’s direct manager at Propel Marketing. Mikaela always went above and beyond to with her projects, assignments, and deliverables. She would often independently research (and self-teach) new and creative ways to implement design techniques into websites, email campaigns, landing pages, and logos. She would then host trainings for the rest of the department so that others could learn these new techniques and strategies to implement into their work. Mikaela was a great asset too our team and company, and I would recommend her for any creative position in the future.”
